About Me

Hi I am Michaela but most people know me as Isla which is my work name, welcome to my cruise page.

I have been employed in the travel industry for nearly 25 years having been a YTS employee. Apart from a year away I have worked with the same company since I left school specialising in the Cruise and long haul sector. During my career in travel I have been very fortunate and travelled to some amazing places both independently, with my family and escorting groups of passengers. Now who wouldn’t say yes to the Breathtaking Norwegian Fjords, the Cultures and Cities of Europe, Sun-kissed Beaches of the Caribbean, The Big Apple, Star Studded Los Angeles, to name a few but I have say the one destination which will always stick out for me is Hawaii. I would love to take my boys one day as this was a trip I did before the days of children. If you haven’t been or thought about it, go, I can highly recommend and you won’t be disappointed!.

As I have been in travel all my working life I have expert knowledge of the cruise industry having sailed with: Regent Seven Seas, Cunard, P&O, Princess, MSC, NCL, Royal Caribbean, CMV, Fred Olsen, Celebrity, Carnival, Scenic, Ama Waterways and A-Rosa.

Having had the chance to sail and experience these amazing cruises allows me to have first hand knowledge of a vast array. Please feel free to ask me about any of those I have sailed with and I can gladly share my thoughts with you or if its one I haven’t sailed with I will know someone who has.

I have three children, two of whom are still at home and keep me very busy with various out of school activities and hobbies, along with my grand daughter who turns three this year. Away from work and arranging my diary around the kids social activities which I have to say is far more interesting than mine!. I love noting more than enjoying time with my other half and planning the next adventure!!
