1st Birthday Celebrations

Last week I had a busy few days with my daughter’s 1st birthday celebrations.  I can’t believe how fast the last year has gone.  We wanted to make it a special occasion for her even though she won’t remember it when she is older.  Her birthday was on Wednesday and we spent the day in Stratford Upon Avon at the Butterfly farm.  I hadn’t been to the Butterfly farm for years and we had a really good day and she enjoyed watching them fly around and land on her and us.

That evening we had booked a restaurant for our family.  we have over 20 of us when we all get together and because of this we booked the teepee at a restaurant near where we live.  We went early to decorate it and the whole evening went really well.  They serve food and let you have music etc in there.  Poppy stayed awake for most of it and enjoyed opening her presents.

We then had a busy weekend ahead as we had all the family over on Saturday for afternoon tea and a BBQ.  It was a good day full of games and opening more presents.  We then had Sunday for Poppy’s party with some of her friends.  We had a few other babies round and they had a little garden party.  They had a pass the parcel and we let them have the paddling pool out.  This also went well.  We had been so lucky with the weather and Saturday and Sunday were just perfect.  Poppy had been spoiled rotten and has had lots of lovely presents.  She is growing up so fast now and still can’t believe I now have a 1 year old.  All the birthday celebrations are over now but we have lots of photos to look back on.
