IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We have extended our pause into April 2021. We've also shared our new health protocols for when we take to the seas again. With our enhanced well-being measures you’ll still be able to enjoy the holiday you dreamed of, even though some aspects may initially feel a little different. Our actual cruise offerings and on-board experience may vary from the descriptions and images displayed throughout the website.

Latest Travel Guidance | Future Cruise Credit Policy | New Health Protocols

There is a list of cancelled cruises but every time I add list to post it comes up unapproved.
It’s interesting reading through the New Health Protocol in the section Eating and Drinking. ‘ You may be asked to pre book a table in the restaurants, the buffets and deck grills will now be served by our waiting staff and you will only be permitted to dine with your travelling group and household.’ Do I interpret that as all solo travellers travelling alone, have to dine at a table just for one? I would not relish the thought of being ‘Billy No Mates’ and dining alone for the whole cruise. I accept that social distancing has to take place, but for me and most solo travellers, we travel to socialise, meet new friends and dine together at a large table.

          Hi Blondie

I don't think they have thought of this or are they hoping solos can link bookings with friends who are possibly on the same sailing??

It will be interesting to read what NCL says on the topic.

Ah, that maybe why then Carol. It's a shame for you though; let hope you can do that cruise at another time.

I was on the PO Easter Greek Island fly cruise . Like most I was expecting it to be cancelled. But I must admit that with all the talk of the vaccines. I was beginning to think it may just go ahead. I think the problem isn’t the actual ship. It’s the ports nowhere wants a cruise ship to dock, and risk all those people getting off and possibly bringing the virus with them. I am unsure whether to move it to September or get a refund. Will decide in a few days as we were travelling for a friends 60th birthday.

                  Spot on.

                  Ports are the great unknown.

Just think of Santorini and Mykonos - how many passengers would they want to disembark on a daily basis?

For me it’s positively as I’m an optimist. Hopefully by then the covid vaccine will be well under way or even completed.
don't want to work, just want to cruise.
