Naviagtor

Well we have just returned from our holidays on Navigator of the seas, and I am not going to lie it wasn’t the best holiday we have ever had, we had a lovely spacious Ocean View on deck 6 great room and lots of space with 2 full windows, we set sail from Southampton and the weather started to turn and the seas got rougher and rougher with us been right at the front of the ship we where all rolling in our beds and I in the bathroom with seas sickness, time for a quick trip to the medical bay for some tablets for us all, we where due to spend the next 2 days at seas but day 2 we woke up opened the curtains and for some reason we where docked in Vigo, quick call to reception and they advised small technical problem with ship, so the rumour mill started we had hit something overnight next we heard gas explosion and fire it’s amazing how many Chinese whispers start, but the true problem was due to one of the stabilisers on the Navigator of the Seas broke and made a hole at the hull, they had to close an entire fire zone because it was leaking water, so we spend the next two days in Vigo while divers repaired the damage and we where then allowed to sail, the down size was we where to miss 2 ports of call Madeira and Lanzarote which I know is a huge disappointment to lots but it wasn’t anyone’s fault and just one of them things, as you can imagine uproar at the reception people going mad kicking off at the guys at the desk same stories only booked to go to Madeira etc… but to give Royal Caribbean credit they give us all 25% on board spend for the value of the Cruise fare paid and the same again in a future Cruise credit, which I thought was very good and at the end of the day we where all safe and that was the main thing, I do think they should have advised us what had happened instead of letting the rumour mill go the captain should have come on and been honest as to what had happened, apart from that we did have a ok time had a lovely couple of days in Tenerife and Lanzarote the only 2 stops on our 10 day voyage, but the kids had a great time and didn’t seam to faze them at all, Navigator is defiantly in need of a refurbishment which I hear Royal are going to do next year and this is much needed in lots of areas of the ship and cabins, we did the same trip 2 years ago on Independence and the weather was great and I know it isn’t guaranteed but has put me off sailing from Southampton, This Cruise proved that I do not have great sea legs even after coming off took me a few days to stop feeling like I was still on board,
