Enchanting Chester!

I have recently returned from a fantastic weekend in Chester to celebrate my birthday! I had been recommended to try Chester and after a little bit of research it seemed like to perfect city, a little history teamed with plenty of shops bars and restaurants, perfect!

We stayed at the Macdonald New Blossoms hotel located right in the centre of Chester surrounded by shops, meaning we could nip in and out which was great.

Chester is a walled city, you can walk the complete medieval/roman wall which surrounds the city and works out to around 2.7 miles, in the bitter cold we chose to brave the weather and took a slightly longer stroll than expected around the city walls, unfortunately for me I didn’t check just how long the wall was!

As well as the wall walk, we also visited Cheshire oaks a fantastic discount outlet to pick up some bargains! A slightly large shopping trip in Chester itself too, with my own personal bag carrier ( My Husband! ) As well as food and drinks, I definitely need to mention bar/restaurant called The Living Room , if you visit Chester you definitely need to book in for a meal hear, exquisite!

The Living Room

My husband and I like to take city breaks and holidays as often as possible, its a great to have something to look forward to even if it is just for a few days, our next short break is in May but this time onboard the Ventura cruise for 3 nights, if I had my way every time we had a short break it would be on a cruise but unfortunately the short cruises with the cruises liners dont run frequently so if you are thinking of a short cruise just bear in mind it may be unlikely that the cruise will fall on your exact dates you may need to consider going before or after.
