Fjords = Amazing

Well what can I say – Amazing……

As I mentioned in my previous blog – i was off on a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords with Fred Olsen.  The pictures that I have taken simply do not justify what I have seen with my eyes.

On Saturday 28th April, I traveled to Dover, which was a five hour drive from Devon, I went straight to the train station to meet Michelle who I work with, I had won this cruise and chose Michelle to come with me to celebrate our special birthdays we had in January. So I chose to do the Norwegian Fjords as I do book a lot of customers there and wanted to experience this for myself.

We were in Dover quite early so we decided to have a look around, neither of us had been to Dover before, so thought we would see what Dover was like.  It was a typical port town, shops and pubs, we found a Weatherspoons and stopped there to have a drink.

I used port parking at Dover to park my car, this was very easy and quick, checked in with them and then they shuttle you down to the Cruise Terminal and pick you up on return. They unload your luggage and its put onto a trolley and you don’t see your cases until you enter your cabin.

Once we arrived at the Port, we checked in very quick, this was so easy and done in a very organised way. Our luggage was in our cabin nice and early so no waiting around.  We had an ocean View Cabin with two Port Holes, very spacious and nicely decorated. We had loads of wardrobe and storage space, with Tea/Coffee making Facilities, Safe, fridge and an interactive TV mounted on the wall.

The ship was great, it has recently been refurbished and so went to explore and try and work out where everything was, typical travel agents, we wanted to know where all the Bars were!!!

We sailed at 5pm and our first stop was Bergen – due to arrive on Monday 30th April.
