Spirit of Discovery .. Here we come

In less than a week’s time I will be heading to Dover to join some of my Cruise.co.uk Colleagues to experience a first look at Saga’s brand new Boutique ship Spirit of Discovery

The 2 Day Voyage will take us from Dover to Bruges aboard the 999 passenger ship – I am actually really excited to see what Saga have to offer

Some things I am looking forward to experiencing on board are –

The 1950’s supper Club Concept that is The Club by Jools Holland. Jools will also be playing live on board selected voyages.

The Playhouse Theater – The 400 Seated theater will host performances from Saga’s in house company as well as Guest entertainers and the theater will offer completed uninterrupted views regardless of where you are seated. During the day the theater will host Lectures and talks from a variety of guest speakers and showcase the latest blockbusters.

The ship will boast cutting edge Design, A choice of World-Class Dining Options whilst still offering Classic British cruise ship feel with a sense of elegance – Complete with Afternoon tea in the Grand Dining Room.

Also served in the Main dining room will be A La Carte Breakfast Lunch and Dinner, and Freedom seating meaning no set meal times.

The two Specialty Restaurants on board East to West offering Exotic Flavors and Authentic Cuisine and Coast to Coast Seafood venue are complimentary and offer limited seating to give a more intimate dining experience, these can be booked on board and are on a first come,first Serve basis

Another thing that Spirit of Discovery will offer is more options for Solo Cruisers with over 100 Cabins specifically designed to offer a Boutique bedroom at sea to Cruisers travelling alone and every cabin on board will have a balcony.
