My 3 star Holiday. The verdict is in.

For those of you who read my last blog will know that I have recently been on my first 3 star holiday. I wrote my blog just before I went and set a reminder to send whilst I was in resort. Well now I am back and I wanted to tell you all about my experience and my thoughts on why some hotels are voted certain star rating. Most importantly is the verdict on whether or not I would do it again. Here Goes……

On the transfer to the hotel we got speaking to 2 ladies who had been to this hotel 8 times. A good first sign. After a 45 minute transfer we pulled up at the hotel. As we walked into the lobby area I was pleasantly surprised ho clean it was. The check in was seamless. At 4 and 5 star hotels I have been to there were porters that took your cases and showed your to your room. I wasn’t to bothered not to have this. Maybe little touches like this are the difference though I though.

Rooms. When entering my room I wasn’t overly wowed. 2 single beds pushed together a fairly small TV and a balcony that overlooked the courtyard. Again for me a room is just somewhere to sleep. The maid was great she came every day and kept the room looking clean. The shower was lovely very strong power shower and the air con was needed with temperatures getting up to 27 degrees. So Far still a 3 star.

Pool. After checking out the room it was time to head to the pool. They had 3 pools one main pool and adults pool and kids pool. This was my first holiday with my baby and the Kinds pool was fantastic. He loved it in the very shallow that the water only came up to your shins with water jets, slides and everything a young baby could want. The 2 other pools were a good size. There was plenty of sun loungers for every body and plenty of space.

All inclusive. I have been to some All inclusive where the food is 24 hours. At this hotel you would get Breakfast lunch and dinner and snacks between lunch and dinner. The food was lovely. They had different themed evenings every night and always plenty of choice. Good selections of wines spirits and soft drinks. a selection of ice creams were also included which is rare.

Entertainment. The entertainment team were Brilliant, Forever on the go. Getting everyone involved and making everybody feel welcome. Day time and evening entertainment I couldn’t fault.

My conclusion. I would go back to this hotel without a doubt. I was even considering doing it this year. For the price that I paid I expected it to be a lot worse than it was. The reviews on trip advisor are great and I would base my experience on this as opposed to the star of the hotel. I think star ratings are now out dated and need updating
