Where has March gone?

As we come into the final week of March (yes, I know I can’t believe how quick the year is passing too!) we see the last of some great offers for booking your 2014 cruise and gear up for the new itineraries for 2015. And what a month it has been and as always in the world of cruise, there is lots of new exciting ships, ports and cruise offers.

This month has seen the launches of the Celebrity 2015 itineraries, the Anthem of the Seas and the majority of the Royal Caribbean 2015 itineraries (with the exception of a few ships, so watch this space). P&O and Cunard getting ready for their 2015 campaign along with the launch of the new P&O Britannia on sale from 26th March.  Plus much, much more…..

So what are the advantages of booking now for your 2015 summer holiday???

1 – Choice – you get to choose the itinerary and cabin type that best suits your needs.

2 –  Price – it is very rare that prices decrease after the first release, in the world of travel fares only get higher as the time goes on. There are very few opportunities to get a reduced fare and it may not suit your needs.

3 – Choice – for a fly cruise you get the choice of your departure airport, as some UK regional airports have limited availability depending on the flight contract with the cruise line.

4 – Price – for a fly cruise, when booking so far in advance the likely hood is the fare will be at the lowest cost. if you are booking more than 10-12 months in advance, the majority of airlines haven’t even released their schedules or fares yet, and you have already guaranteed your price.

5 -Choice – you can choose to pay a deposit and then pay off over the coming months before the final balance is due.

6 – Price – the cost of the deposit can vary depending on the cruise line but most are around £200 per person deposit and this can also include fly cruises. Final deposits are advised at time of checking availability.

So weighing it all up, the advantage of booking early is Choice and Price.

Now, if you are still undecided on your cruise for 2014, then there is still a chance to grab a great deal.

Royal Caribbean are offering complimentary cabin upgrades and on board credit, but be quick as they will finish this promotion next Monday 31st March 2014.

Celebrity cruises are still offering a choice of the classic drinks package or on board credit on summer 2014 sailings and on some select itineraries, they are also offering extra on board credit and complimentary cabin upgrades.

P&O are offering a choice of on board credit, complimentary coach transfers to Southampton or car parking with upto £640 of Marks & Spencers Vouchers. These are based on their select fares.

Cunard are offering similar to P&O but with John lewis vouchers to a value of £1340. Again based on their select fares.

Now, if you are fortunate to be able to cruise at any time and are happy to be placed anywhere on the ship in a guaranteed cabin and have your dining allocated for you, call me and ask me about the fantastic Saver Fares being offered by P&O and Cunard.

Examples of offers from last week – please be advised due to complete success on these deals, prices may now be different (and I mean higher).

P&O ventura,  23rd April 2014 a 7 night fly cruise in the Mediterranean started from £599 per person based on a balcony cabin.  That’s with flights and transfers included!!! BARGAIN.

Cunard Queen Victoria, 09th May 2014 a 14 night Baltic Capitals cruise from Southampton started from £699 per person based on an inside cabin.

Now the above are just a few of the great deals and offers still available, so, if you want to know what the best offers are around for this year or even to start getting the best deal for next year, contact me on 0800 408 6055 and let’s get that cruise booked.
