Excited for Encore

I am off on my travels again. Today I am heading down to Dublin to stay overnight before catching a very very early flight tomorrow morning to Bremen in Germany (via Amsterdam). I am going to be sailing on the NCL Encore over to Southampton. I am very excited as this will be my first ever time stepping foot on an NCL ship.

I will be getting you loads of information and pictures of my experience over there but in the meantime to tide you over below are some facts about the newest ship in the NCL Fleet.

Kelly Clarkson is going to be the Godmother of the sip. She is a world famous musician and now TV host.

The ship is sailing over to Miami and will sail from there every Sunday doing 7 night Eastern Caribbean itineraries. In April she will then be moving to New York to so some 5-7 night itineraries to Bermuda.

NCL Encore will have the largest race track at sea extending 13 feet over the side of the ship.

Encore obviously isnt just for speed freaks. They have the largest open air laser tag at Sea on board – hopefully I will get a chance to give it a go.

The show on board has been announces as Kinky Boots, the Tony Award winning Broadway play, i cannot wait to sample it.

Encore has a quarter of a mile oceanfront promenade called Waterfront. It rounds around the ship and venues with access to this area include restaurants and bars like Onda by Scarpetta, Cagneys Steakhouse, Los Lobos, The Cavern Club, Dolce Gelato Sugarcane Mojito bar and Ocean Blue.

If water fun is more your to do list then be prepared to experience two multistory watersides – I think I will take my chance with Speedway thank you very much
