A total Eclipse on the day

And so I have visited the beautiful Celebrity Eclipse on a sunny day in Liverpool last week whilst she was on a day visit during her round the UK cruise

I must admit the welcome we received from the staff and management was great. We had a brief introduction from our regional manager whilst comfortably seating in a lounge where a table had been laid out with pastries, teas and coffees. All staff were courteous and smiley and made us feel very welcome.

We started the tour around the ship which lasted about two hours but felt like 10 minutes. Heard a few stories one of which really touched me.

Did you know on every Solstice Class ship there is a real tree at the heart of the ship symbolizing “life”?

It’s a tribute to all women survivors of cancer. For the same reason, the Godmothers on this class of ship are not rich and famous are cancer survivors. The names are taken from a worldwide list and the people Celebrity picks have very special stories behind. Sadly the Godmother of the Ecplise died recently. Celebrity thought of renaming the Godmother but decided not to. Her family has been given all access at any time and are treated like royalty on board.

What really interested me was the Qsine restaurant. A restaurant with low lights where technology takes its peak. From the minute you sit down you will experience a totally different experience. I’m not going to spoil the surprise for you and I would highly recommend it. The only cruise ships to have the speciality Qsine restaurants are the Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Summit and the Celebrity Infinity.

After a lovely guided tour, a cocktail and time for pictures we had an invitation to lunch at the Moonlight Sonata Restaurant. The food we sampled was the same Menu guests would have during the cruise. I had couscous with ribs meat (no bones). My regional manager recommended it so I followed his advise and ordered it reluctantly. Oh I was so glad I did, It was delicious and very well presented. It’s not described very well on the menu but if you come across it please do order it and try it, if you don’t agree with me you can always order something else too.

I have some pictures to show you I hope you enjoy them
