Travel insurance do you take it out?

Its that time of year when we’re all thinking about going on holiday your holiday is such an exciting thing that you have to look forward to, you work all year to have that week or two weeks away nice relaxing and a bit of sun.

So why do people travel without insurance? with insurance cost’s so competitive I really can’t understand why people travel aboard without it. Last year someone who doesn’t live that far away from me was in our local paper The Sheffield Star about travelling aboard on a birthday weekend away to Spain and didn’t take insurance out,  she was sleepwalking and fell out of the window, she was 10 floors up, now the doctors said that if she wasn’t asleep then she wouldn’t have been here, it’s only because her body was so relaxed that she didn’t die, but she didn’t take insurance out she thought by having an E11 card (I know they’re not called that now) she would be fine if anything happened but people forget its not just the medical treatment you might need it’s getting home if ill or worse and the insurance companies pay for this, it’s keeping a close loved one with you, these are just the big things they cover for.

You can get really cheap insurance for as little as £10.00 for a week yes the medical cover might not be millions but at least you would have something covering you. The one thing I always look out for when I get insurance is the medical if the medical is high then I take this out, people really need to think about this more when traveling aboard cause no one would lie to be like this 23-Year-old having to go on national radio stations and Facebook asking people to help her keep her mum with her while  she had operations and trying to raise money for her to get home after she was well enough to come home.

Don’t let this happen to you take insurance out and know your covered for that small amount that it costs.
