Hi, I’m Michaela and I would like to welcome you all to my Blog. I live in the North East in a town called South Shields with my husband Craig and my son Logan. We have a fantastic seafront in South Shields so when the weather is good, we spend lots of time at the beach, fairground or running around having a game of football in the Marine Park.

To complete our family we also have two gorgeous labradors called Jack and Marlo. They do keep me busy and need plenty of walks to burn off their energy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

When we are not kicking a  football the three of us travel far and wide to watch and support our local football team. Its something we all really love as a family and we have been to some great grounds and Stadiums.

My love of cruising happened when my husband and I took our first cruise around the Mediterranean about 15 years ago. I was hooked from that very first moment. What better way to explore exciting destinations, try out brand new activities or just relax and unwind while you watch the world go by.

I’ve been in travel now for over 24 years and have worked in various aspects of the industry. I started my journey at Newcastle Airport as a ground handling agent which was a great experience then moved on to a travel agent’s role in which I gained most of my experience and knowledge. The largest part of my career was at Thomson where I really developed my passion for cruising and this has enabled me to be doing my dream job, specialising in cruises here at cruise.co.uk.
