Radisson – the best hotel at East Midlands airport.

If you’re joining a cruise, and you have an early flight out of East Midlands airport, then where do you stay?

The Jury’s Inn is nearest to the terminal (just a short walk), hence it’s a popular choice.  Next-nearest are the Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express, but they don’t have a dedicated transfer shuttle bus like the Radisson does, plus you don’t get the indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam-room that the Radisson offers as complimentary to all guests either!

Prices are very reasonable for a 4* hotel, plus the transfer time to the airport is less than 5 minutes.  The rooms are spacious, and there are a number of king-size beds, so don’t forget to request one if you’re a couple!  On-site parking packages are also available for the duration of your stay, so your holiday really can begin the moment you arrive at the hotel.

Breakfast is available for a supplement of £12.00 per person (if booked in advance the day before at check-in), and this includes a full range of hot and cold food.  For dinner, you can order either in the dedicated restaurant, or at the bar if you prefer a more informal dining experience.

If you’re after a bargain airport hotel, then there’s also the Travelodge at the M1 junction 23a service station, just a 5-minute drive from the terminal, or if you have loyalty to Hilton, there’s a Hilton hotel just a further mile or so down the road, with a dedicated shuttle service, similar to the Radisson.  During really busy times, if room availability is an issue, you can also try the Best Western hotel at Kegworth, but you probably wouldn’t want to be any further away from the airport than there.

So folks, that’s my East Midlands airport hotel masterclass over with.  Bye for now, until my next post!
