Time to pack…………… now its my holiday!

Today is my last day at work for two whole weeks! Im off to my favourite place Turkey. I got a cheap flight and I am doing a two centre holiday first stay is in the upmarket resort of Kalkan just  short of two hours drive from Dalaman, Kalkan has a Yachting Marina, some super restaurants, trendy cocktail bars ( with all the latest gin and tonics) sandy beaches and some designer shops ( genuine fakes of course). I have done lots of research and selected all the best places to dine and a lovely boat trip awaits me. I have a penthouse with own hot tub with stunning views of the Aegean and all the latest mod cons! Love Trip advisor and all the forums to find out which places to go and which places to avoid!

Then its an hours drive up the coast for a stay in a luxury villa with private pool and BBQ in the Fethiye area. I have many friends in the area after owning my own home there for 10 years, for me its like my second home.

My days  will be spent sipping cocktails, reading a good book, odd excursion and some lovely evenings out in the local restaurants my favourite being Fethiye fish market for some Calamari, Prawns cooked in chili & garlic followed by Seabass and all washed down with copious amount of Raki, my perfect night!

The Turkish lira is at almost 8 to the £ making Turkey super value for us Brits! The average climate in October is about 26 degrees, however over the weekend Turkey has been hit with a spell of high winds, heavy downpours and some local flooding, so I may just need to pack my Umbrella, Wellies and Raincoat!

I will be back in work from Tuesday the 16th of October so for now its Gule Gule from me! ( Bye Bye)
