My Azarama Quest

I am extremely excited this week because Friday I will be joining 3 of my colleagues in Monaco to join the beautiful Azamara Quest where we will spend 3 nights on board and visit Florence, Pisa and Rome. I have never been on an Azamara cruise nor have I visited any of the ports of call before so I am super excited to see the sights but to also have a good nosey around the ship.

Azamara are particularly well known for their all inclusive concept. Drinks are included, including alcohol as are gratuities so minimal spending money is needed except for spends ashore and for any trips which is a concept that more and more clients are seeking these days.

They are a cruise line operating smaller vessels, each with a luxurious and intimate feel which going by the reviews is well noted by their clientele. The attention to details is something more often commented on not to mention the fine cuisine. I am especially looking forward to sampling the tantalising delights in the Italian restaurant, Aqualina which charges a small supplement of just $30 per head. You can purchase a specialty package for $70 which allows 3 visits to the specialty restaurants onboard which also includes Prime C where you can find the finest steaks, lobster and crab cakes. Mmmm yum.

Something Azamara are very proud of is their ‘longer in ports’ promise. They often dock one morning and don’t sail again until the following evening, giving guests a full two days to explore the ports but to also sample some evening entertainment in the local area which of course normally you wouldn’t get to do as you would be sailing away early evening for the next destination. On cruises of 7 nights or more Azamara treat their clients to one of their ‘Azamazing evenings’ where you are invited to an evening on them. As we are joining the second part of a  night cruise we are able to attend and Im thrilled to have discovered we will be having an evening with the Three Tenors! Exciting stuff.

Well that’s all for now, I have packing to be doing and some euros to purchase but ill be sure to let you know how my trip goes when I get back.
