Forget Love Island…. Think Love Boat

Love Island is back again for a summer of watching the mildly desperate to the ridiculously arrogant beauties swan around in next to nothing in an attempt to fall in love and find their happy ever after. You’ll be relieved to hear you can put your application for the show to one side and set your sights on a more sophisticated chance (for normal folk) to find the one you’ve been waiting for….on a cruise designed for singles only.

A team at UniWorld have teamed up with dating app providers The League to offer a singles only cruise for their members in the Mediterranean this summer. Whilst on board guests can take part in some unique inclusions such as roof top yoga, wine tasting, farm-to-table dining, silent discos and mixology classes to name but a few. The romance theme continues ashore with the chance to experience Versailles, Rouen, the world famous Moulin Rouge and kayaking along the Seine.

“Partnering with The League is an extraordinary opportunity for us to pair our brand with an organisation that attracts a like-minded audience. Similar to U’s audience, they are seeking immersive experiences,” says Chris Townson, U by UniWorld’s managing director. “U brings adventurous and curious travellers together to experience new destinations. The intimate environment of our ships and our small group excursions provide the perfect opportunity to meet new people.”

Doesn’t it sound fab? And even if you don’t succeed at finding Mr Right you are sure to return home with some amazing memories and photos for the album. A lot of solo clients are looking to cruise with like minded individuals who are also travelling alone so I think this is a huge step in the right direction and only hope that more cruise lines follow suit. A couple of sailings a year with each cruise line would be fantastic. I think they’re missing a trick by not offering singles cruises so UniWorlds dive into the singles market is music to my ears.

If you fancy giving the UniWorld singles cruise a whirl you will need to download the app and have fingers crossed that there are still places left available. Don’t throw away that Love Island application just yet…. you may need the back up 🙂
