Pre Paid Sunbeds

The Sun Bed dash has hit the travel news this week and even made it to the nationals.
Thomas Cook have decided to allow you to pre pay for your sun bed to stop the sun bed dash at silly o’clock by trailing a sunbed booking service.

Would you pay £22.00 in advance of your holiday to book a specific sun bed around the pool ?
This is being trailed in certain hotels where you can pick your sun bed from a map but not all sunbeds will be available to pre book.

I must admit I do have to hold my hand up that my children have been sent out sunbed spotting when we’ve been in All Inclusive hotels to bag a good spot for the day , I have then spent the day on the sun bed and not just dumped my towel and had a day out only to return to the pool for a 5 minute dip as some people seem to do .

If this succeeds would you like to see it on cruise ships?

Walking around the pool deck we’ve all seen empty beds all day with towels on them to stop you sitting there whilst people are enjoying the time in port but I think a lot of cruise lines are not stopping this by moving belongings if they’ve seen that no one has sat there for a certain time.
