I took to the skies, but i’m not on holiday….

So, as some of you may have seen from a teaser to my Facebook page yesterday… I went on a flight.
Yes I certainly took to the skies – but I am now back on solid ground – and i’m not on holiday !!

Ok, so the picture really does give it away but yesterday Wednesday 23rd August 2017 I completed my first (and only) Tandem Skydive from 15,000 ft – this is the highest possible tandem skydive height without additional oxygen !!.. Figured if I am only doing this once then I may as well do the best.

I was extremely fortunate to get this done on my first booking, as one lady in the group was at the airfield for the 10th time without successfully getting off the ground yet.. having only booked this a couple of weeks ago I did not have too much time to get too worked up about it – but i must admit to shaking lots during the briefing session, and whilst waiting to get suited up, oh and in the plane !!.

Boarding the Plane; All Smiles before take off; The terror setting in as the door opened and 2 minutes to jump….

Moving to the door; Ready, Steady (not really); And Diving…; and the parachute opens..

Apparently, after landing lots of people say then would do it all over again – now I must say that is not me… but it was on my Bucket List to do and is now firmly ticked off.
