What really does make a perfect day? Royal Caribbean think they can answer the question with the latest addition of private island facilities exclusive to them.

Launching in 2019, Perfect day at CocoCay will be the first to launch in the perfect day collection and will undergo a $200 million transformation. CocoCay will be accessible from itineraries leaving from New York, Maryland and Florida promising to deliver an Ultimate Family Destination in the Caribbean and todeliver the most memorable holiday for adventure seekers on land and onboard.

It has also been announced additions will be made in Asia,Australia and the Caribbean

So what really does make a perfect day at Coco Cay – Well the addition of a 13 slide waterpark, The largest Freshwater pool in the Caribbean – oasis lagoon, a 16 foot zip line and a helium balloon floating 450 feet above the ground

Royal Caribbean acquired Coco Cay formally known as Little Stirrup Cay back in 1990 shopping outlets, Restaurants and activities for Royal and celebrity customers

It seems that not only are fleets expanding with Rival cruise lines but having a private island in the Caribbean is a must, here are some of the other unique destinations you can visit on your next cruise

Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line

1000 Acres located North in the Bahamas and owned by Walt Disney World – You can be guaranteed the magic will come ashore at castaway cay – no tender needed you just step ashore and as its exclusive to Disney you can be sure of a fun filled day for all the family

Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line

Previously known as little San Salvador – a private retreat on most of Hal’s Caribbean & panama Sailings, a few things to add to you to-do list are Horse riding on Sand, Join in with the Caribbean themed party and for the kids the brand new waterpark

Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian Cruise Line

Abundance of activity awaits for you at great stirrup cay, you would find me at the barcadi bar trying a different freshly muddled mojito or two!

Harvest Caye, Norwegian Cruise Line

Opened in 2016 and voted best new cruise port 2017 complete with expansive pool, swim up bar and access to snorkeling in the worlds 2nd largest barrier reef

Labadee, Royal Caribbean

Another one for the royals – a 200 acre private beach resort in the forested north coast of Haiti. A firm favourite is the all-you-can-eat barbeque after you have a go on the Dragon’s breath flight line – a 2600 foot long over water zip line

Princess Cays, Princess Cruises

Since 1992 Princess Cruises passengers have been able to visit Princess Cays on Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries – The island is 100 miles long and 2 miles wide so your sure to find a great beach spot to relax in or head to the local craft market to purchase some souvenirs

And the latest addition is MSC Ocean Cay will be the exclusive port of call in the Bahamas – Consisting of 95 Acres the island functions as a marine reserve with 6 beaches on offer, a pirate island Ampitheatre and several resturants and bars. Debuting on October 2019 itineraries No tender is required and and the ship will docked until late evening
