Pinch and a Punch!!

Well here it is, the first day of the month and the first day of Autumn! Where has this year gone? It has been an eventful one for me changing jobs after 6 years at Kuoni to come here as a cruise specialist and it was a great move I have to say. I am loving pricing talking and booking cruises every day and I must say, learning new things every day too. Working from home gives me the flexibility to be available when my clients need me as well as allowing me the time and freedom to enjoy my other passion, my horse Ava.

Last month we lost our little dog Jessie after a battle with cancer. She enjoyed her final few months with me at home all the time and was a permanent fixture under my desk while I was working. Some people say it’s just a dog, but anyone who has ever owned a dog will know the massive hole they leave in your life and how much they are a family member. We all miss her terribly and the house is so empty without her. I have a new friend on a temporary basis, a Staffy named Brock who is staying with us while his owner moves house. It’s great to be able to go out for walks with him again.

So looking ahead to Autumn, I am dreading the nights drawing in and the cold weather, but on a good note looking forward to my cruise on the Navigator of the Seas in October going to France, Belgium, Holland and Norway. I have never been this way before having always done the Med, so it should be interesting. The best TV shows also coming, X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, Bake Off and Masterchef to name a few. And of course we have Halloween and Christmas to look forward to.

One not to be missed for cruise fans is the new series Cruising with Jane McDonald starting today at 9pm on Channel 5. Tonight she will be experiencing a Baltic Cruise onboard Viking Sky. During the 4 part series she will also experience the brand new MSC Meraviglia in the Western Med, Celestial Crystal in Cuba and Avalon Poetry ll on the River Rhone. I am really looking forward to this as I haven’t seen any of these ships, so I will be there with my glass of vino in hand and no interruptions!

Until next time..
