My Day on board Msc

I have recently got back from a day on board Msc Meraviglia. I must say I was impressed. Up until the last few years i  have found that Msc have had a bit of a bad name. I think people have associated with Costa maybe and when some people think Costa they think Concordia. Over the past few years though Msc have really turned a corner and is becoming more and more popular. They are building ships at a faster rate than anyone and their prices are very competitive.

Upon getting on board the Meraviglia. I was instantly attracted to the Swarovski staircase that is clearly the focal point of the ship. At £2000 a step you can see why. We first headed up to the sky lounge for a cuppa and a view. This is at the Front of the ship and is an adults only section. This is a lovely area to be when setting sale.

Some of the other attractions towards the top of the ship are…………

The Aqua park. To be honest I only had a quick look at this as we were in southampton it was obviously raining and this is an out door area with a flume and waterpark. I didn’t spend too much time in the rain looking at this however I can imagine the children will love it in any weather.

Yacht club. This is an exclusive area on board the ship for customers that book a yacht club cabin. You will have access to your own lounge, a personal butler and even have your own lift that will stop for yacht club members only.

Simulators/Bowling alley. I loved this and haven’t seen this on any other ship so far. There was formula one simulators and flight simulators on board. There was also a bowling alley.

Cirque du soleil/Theatre As well as a theatre on board they also have a separate room for Cirque du Soleil. This will be an additional cost however well worth it. It is $15 euros for the show and a drink or $30 for show and a meal. A point to notice about the main theatre is that it only holds 900 people. With a capacity of 5700 people on board. The do have 3 shows a night.

Basketball/football. Although on some ships i have been on the have basket ball or football facilities this area is massive. In fact it is the largest space on the ship.

Food. Obviously I was only on for a day so cant tell you about the full menu however the food that I had on board was great. We had a choice of 4 items on each course and you were allowed to choose as many as you want. I couldn’t fault the food at all .

There was so much to do on board this luxury ship and I would definitely sail on her. I would like to hear from you about experiences on Msc do you agree with me or not. If you have never been with Msc an want to know more please let me know.
