Royals reality cruise carnage !!

Beautiful ports of call , Good food , fantastic service and a perfect cabin . These are just some of the things we look for when booking a cruise holiday. Well not everybody has that exact tick list if the recent news of the documentary filmed onbord a cruise was anything to go by.

The Vision of the seas had been hosting a reality show being filmed for channel 4 where it was supposed to highlight young people on board a cruise enjoying the partying and having a good time on board.

Unfortunately things were not quite as tame as maybe the producers would of liked with allegations of wild drug use and sex orgys going on . Sunbeds filled with lines of cocaine and partygoers vomiting in the pool.

After the first night of partying as the ship sailed from Barcelona to Cannes a British man was arrested as it docked in France while a film crew aboard captured the activities for upcoming reality series Shipmates.

Vision of the Seas set off from Barcelona on June 7 and sailed via Cannes, Ibiza and Majorca before returning to the Spanish mainland five days later.

The five-part series filmed over five days will be shown on Channel 4 later this year. The two teams of five competed in a host of challenges and relied on fellow passengers to vote for their favourite team.

There is no suggestion anyone involved in the production of Shipmates was involved in any wrongdoing.

Channel 4 said it could not comment on the behaviour of other passengers.

A statement added: “Any suggestion that an arrest or drug investigation involved anyone in the programme is untrue. We cannot comment on the behaviour of other passengers.” Anchored Cruises chartered the ship from Royal Caribbean International.

Channel 4’s reality show involved ten young Britons joining 2,500 holidaymakers. If the pictures online are anything to go by I would imagine that Royal Caribbean would of received quite a lot of complaints and im sure people would of felt that they were on board the party cruise from hell.

Maybe in the future Cruise lines should think twice before agreeing to letting a reality show like this on board their ships as it could possibly damage there reputations and put people off.

Maybe if they do let film productions on board go for something a little more tame . How about a bit of the great Cruise British Bake off or Antiques Cruise Roadshow , you wouldn’t get these type of shenanigans with Mary Berry onboard !!!
