About me

Hi. I’m Alice and I live in East Lancashire about 15 minutes drive from Pendle Hill – home in the past to the Pendle Witches. I live with my 2 indoor cats, so apologies in advance if you hear any miaows or purrs in the background when we’re talking!

As well as loving to travel, I enjoy reading – generally detective books both from the golden age, like Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh; as well as current ones. I’m also a fan of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels. A couple of years ago, I went with a friend to Wincanton to visit the Emporium. Spent a small fortune but it was definitely worth it.

My other passion is photography. 

 Some of the photos on my blog are ones I’ve taken myself, including these. 

I usually go on holiday with my Mum and my Aunt and we always come back with a tale to tell: 

We’ve had to break into a villa we rented due to locking ourselves out; 

We hired a car in Gozo that started to make noises so odd, we thought we would be driving it like the Flintstones; 

I had to phone reception from the balcony of the hotel we were staying in as the maid had locked the door not realising we were there.
