NCL are Growing and Growing

Norwegian Cruise Line has today annnounced that they have ordered another 2 Leonardo Class Ships. Four ships have already been ordered and will be delivered by 2022, 2023 2024 and 2025  and the 2 that have been recently ordered will be delivered in 2026 and 2027. This class of ship will follow the Breakaway Plus Class Ships and with more innovative offerings that will entice new passengers and loyal NCL cruisers alike.

These ships will be 140,000 tons and carry 3300 passengers and will be energy effiecient with the aim of optimising fuel consumption and reducing the impact on the environment. Before this class of ship enter service Norwegian have their 3rd Breakaway Plus Class ship entering service in 2019, following the Norwegian Escape, which entered service in 2015 and NCL Bliss which entered service this year.

Norwegian Encore will enter service in  2019 and will be offering Caribbean Itineraries from Miami.  These will be 7 night voyages every Sunday  starting on 17 November 19 and cruising the Eastern Caribbean.The ship will be 167,800 tonnes and carry 3998 passengers, will be 1094 ft long and have a maximum beam of 136ft.The ship will  feature a 2 storey Horizon Lounge exclusively for guests of the Haven, There will also be panoramic views from the Observation Lounge including a full service bar, live music and spectacular views spanning 2 decks. The ship will also offer 7 catagory of cabins, Studios for single passengers, Inside, Oceanview, balcony, Spa cabins , Mini Suites and of course the Haven.

Norwegian Cruiseline Holdings, who also own Regent Seven Seas Cruise Line, also have an order for a new ship for Regents too. Seven Seas Splendour will launch in 2020, the all-suite, all balcony ship will be 55,254 tonnes and will hold 750 passengers. Im sure this will be as popular as Explorer was when she launced in 2016

I am a huge fan of NCL and have sailed 6 times on Epic and I have also sailed on Getaway to the Baltic. I cant wait to see what exciting itineraries the Leonardo Class ships will have to offer. Watch this space!
