The very best of British

P&O Cruises have tonight announced their very patriotic plans for their  fleet including the Brand new Britannia .

This proud statement from P&O will see the world longest union jack adorned over the bow of the cruise lines fleet of 8 ships. Measuring 94 meters this move will make P&O ships more recognisable all over the world and celebrate their British heritage.

Speaking from tonight’s Travel weekly globe award ceremony David Dingle, chief executive, said: “In our 177th year we are unveiling a new, contemporarily styled livery which symbolises all that we stand for, pointing to the future and celebrating our British heritage.

This new look will be introduced with the Aurora once she returns from dry dock later this year, she will be followed by the Britannia when she is launched in Feb 2015. The revamp will then continue throughout the entire fleet set to be completed by the end of 2016.

So what’s your thought on this? After seeing today first hand the new NCL breakaway with it’s colourful designed bow I think this is fantastic news and a great way to really stand out from the other competitors.

i am really excited to see how these will look!
