The 30,277 ton,  672-passenger vessel is the smallest  of the Princess fleet will undergo a 35-day, $40 million make-over before joining her new family and renamed Sirena upon delivery in March 2016. During Sirena’s visit to dry dock in Marseille some of the changes will include the Toscana and Polo Grill specialty restaurants as well as the Baristas coffee bar, similar to soon to be sister ship Insignia.

This news has come just days after Norwegian took over Oceania and sister line Regent Seven Seas, in a deal reported to be worth $3.025 billion.

In a statement Kevin Sheehan, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings said “The acquisition of Sirena provides measured capacity growth based on the proven platform of Oceania Cruises’ highly regarded midsize ships, Our belief in the Oceania Cruises brand and our commitment to its growing base of loyal guests were the rationale behind our decision to bring Sirena into the fleet.”
