MSC’s Mega Spend

Italian Stallions MSC have added to their great start to 2016 with news of 2 new mega vessels  set to launch from 2019-2020

The brand New members of the 2017 Meravilglia Plus class have been reported to have cost $3.26 Billion Dollars, and will hold an amazing 6,300 passengers, and they will be 16 meters longer than their older sister allowing for 200 more cabins and even an extra restaurants.Who would have thought after the announcement of the original leading ladies Meraviglia and Seaside that MSC would add to the family so soon?

This new generation of ship join MSC in  Summer 2017, promises the  biggest and most innovative ship built by a cruise line on this side of the Atlantic, ready to rival the likes of Royal Caribbean and NCL.

This new state of the art vessel will boast new high tech features such as such as NFC (near-field communication, which allows technology to communicate – like short-range WiFi!) technology which can geo-locate your children (just in case they manage to get out of sight), make payments, book treatments and more, all through your smartphone or wristband.

The CEO of MSC cruises Gianni Onorato said: “The beauty of these ships is that despite their size, they can fit into any port around the world. They are actually shorter than MSC Divina , but wider. We call them ‘a ship for all seasons,’ and they could be in northern Europe, South America, the Caribbean or the Mediterranean — or Asia, China specifically.”
