Happy Christmas from Cruise.co.uk

Yes it is that time of the year “Cruise.co.uk Christmas Conference” a time to catch up with old colleagues and meet new ones, get the low down from the cruise line on all the fantastic offers we will be selling come January and generally eat, drink and be merry.

This year for conference we joined Fred Oslen, Balmoral for a 3 night 70’s themed mini cruise to Bruges. Cruising was Fred was a first for me and I will pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed the smaller vessel.

So here are my highlights of the weekend.

70’s night Now I will admit the thought of all things flower power did not excite me and as a early 80’s I am obviously not familiar with this era, for weeks I was dreading the first night. I HATE fancy dress and looking silly. However in true cruise.co.uk fashion we did it in style everyone joined in and looked fab, we had a great night and as soon as I arrived in my bubble gum pink velour number I was instantly relieved to find everyone felt as silly as I did.

Here are some of my favourite costumes.

Dining onboard

I was wowed from start to finish at the choice and standards in all the restaurant on board both buffet and sit down. Each night we ate in The Spey Restaurant which was small and friendly. The food was amazing I would certain recommend this to any future customers.

Accommodation

My usual roomie for the weekend was Alison, and we had a outside cabin wit full picture window on deck 4. I can honestly I think it was the most spacious outside cabin I have stayed in. We had two single beds, ample wardrobe space, 2 dressers and a nice size bathroom with a shower over the bathtub. We were very comfortable in this cabin and could not fault it at all, Cabin staff were quick and efficient throughout.

Drink package

Now at the risk of sounding like a raving alcoholic the all inclusive drinks package was fantastic value for money , starting from as little as £10pppn, I will certainly be advising my customers to pre book this. By booking this you are covered for house red, white, rose and sparkling wine, soft drinks, beer , cider  and house spirits. Now purely for customer service reasons so that I can effectively sell this drinks package I did sample  copious drinks and I can confidently recommend the Rose wine, Cava and Vodka Cranberry ( things I do for my customers. )

So as I mentioned earlier we were joined on board by some of the top cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean,  Princess, Cunard, APT and Holland America all to tell us about their fantastic campaigns they will be running in the new year but you will be able to read a about these offers in my first blog of 2016.

l will now be away until 8am Tuesday 29th December, and from myself and everyone at cruise.co.uk we would like to wish all our customers a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. I will look forward to speaking you in the new year ready to plan all your fantastic future cruises.
