Friends Reunited!!

How often do you spot a face in a crowd and get that instant feeling you know that person from somewhere?

Imagine this, Quantum of the seas (one of the biggest cruise ships in the world) carrying 4500 passengers and casually bump into your long lost friend, WHAT A SMALL WORLD it really is as this is exactly what happen to Joan D’Alessandro and Shelia Cotty Sweeney.

Joan spotted Shelia walking past in a shirt that said “Boston Strong” and decided to introduce herself as she and her husband were also from the Boston area.

However, the pair soon realised they were no mere neighbours! Shelia explains that Joan “lived across the lake from us.” The pair were close friends until they were aged ten, when Shelia moved away to a new town.

During this chance meeting on board RCCL’s Quantum after 65 YEARS these two old friends realised that they had actually been living just 15 minutes away from each other for the past few years, and the surprised didn’t stop there as the two childhood pals even realised that  Joan actually bought Shelia’s brothers house some years before too.

I would love to know the odds off this happening.
