If you are a fan of Saturday night entertainment, it would be very hard to miss our favourite Jordy duo Ant and Dec setting us up for an amazing end of series finale for “Saturday night takeaway”.

So after weeks of speculations and giving away free cruise cabins, Saturday night  the hit ITV show broadcasted live from P&O Britannia celebrating her 1st birthday after launching March 2015, and with that the cruise industry has been buzzing ever since. On the night the flagship vessel shone and rightly so she looked amazing, and P&O did a great job show casing her highlights throughout the programme.  Filming live from top deck they cleverly managed to also include Brodies, The Live Lounge, Headliners and the magnificent atrium. Overall the apart from a few technical hitches the how was fantastic and looked like everyone had a brilliant time.

With launch of 2017-18 this week, who ever thought of this is a genius as the programme has brought a lot of new interest to the cruising industry with families and couples who may not have thought about cruising before now desperate to try it.

So what next after pulling out all the stops at the weekend? Are they going to have a little rest now before they sail into the a busy time of the year for them? NO THEY WILL NOT!

P&O are obviously loving the lime light, along with the glitz and glam of prime time TV and before Britannia has even returned they are gearing up ready to welcome more celebrities on board alone with our much loved Marco Pierre White to take part in a new cookery faceoff programme “BATTLECHEFS”.

Well know names including Debra Stephenson, choreographer Jason Gardiner, Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford, Eastenders actor John Partridge, former JLS band member JB Gill, fashion expert Susannah Constantine and The X Factor winner Sam Bailey will battle it out in P&O very “COOKERY CLUB” in a Bake off at sea kind of programme.

The cookery club as you know if a show kitchen on board the Britannia equipped with state of the kitchen gadgets, ready to show budding chef and bakers some new culinary skills with world class chefs at hand, during their holidays. This is also a keen baker one of my favourite places on the Britannia, I would have loved more time in there when i visited last year.
