On board credit!!! Getaway

So after many many months of frustrating loyal and early bookers by introducing vastly reduced fares on the Getaway promotion with different T&Cs to Vantage fares P&O are now considering adding On Board Credit to their Getaway Fares.

After opening an already large can of worms I’m thinking this is going to open a barrel of worms. Soon the Getaway Fare difference to the Vantage Fare will be just the cost and of course the T&Cs thus not allowing Vantage Fare bookers to get the reduced price honoured as advertised on their Vantage Fare T&Cs.

Why are they doing it?

I don’t know but it smells like desperation to me. To reduce the cost as they have done then to add On Board Credit suggests that they are struggling to shift their cabins.

Perhaps P&O need to re-think the Vantage Fare promise as something does not seem to be working well for them.
