Guatemala, The new India

As some of you maybe aware Royal Caribbean have moved their call centre from the UK and America to Guatemala.

Why? Well I can tell you it is not for the service they provide.

After months of being patient with them and letting them bed into their new job, and it’s new for all of them I think it is time RC offered the kind of service expected.

This has not happened though and a 5 minute call can take all morning at times. And the most annoying thing is they take 5 minutes to repeat everything back to you, put you on hold and then do it all wrong.

Where’s the WOW RC?

When calling them and waiting in a queue I feel like an inmate on death row! Yes, knowing that what is waiting is not going to be pretty but I have no choice, this is what RC have sentenced me to.

Where is Guatemala anyway?

Does that help?

Don’t get me wrong though, I think their cruises are fantastic, value for money and right up there with the best but if a client has a query well heaven help me.

Don’t stop booking with them, just make sure you book through me and let me deal with them.

And back to the question, Why Guatemala, surely their wages are not that much cheaper than the Indians and not such a saving against our British call centres that it’s worth giving bad service for the wages saved.

On that note have you had any bad experiences with their call centre? Let me know, would be great to hear others experiences.

And lets give them a chance, have you called and received good service?
