NCL Epic, welcomes the cavern Club

Since the recent sad passing of Cilla Black there ha been lots of interest in the sixties, particularly Liverpool, home of the famous Cavern Club where many of the acts, The Beatles, Cilla Black, Gerry and the Pacemakers, all performed there during the early part of the Decade.

There will be daily shows , where you can enjoy the Beatles music along with tribute acts, and other artists. Being a child of the sixties I think it will be a welcome change to the “normal” disco style , music I will remember , and to be honest even the younger generation will, at the cost of starting to sound like a grumpy old lady, I often wonder how many of today’s songs will be remembered in 55 years time, what are the classics of today, discounting of course Disneys “Let it Go ” and the only reason I believe this will survive is that every child under 5 can recite almost the whole song !! quite amazing.

Take the Beatles , one of the most famous songs , Yesterday, it must have been covered by dozens of artists , yet even teenagers know the song and who sung it.

NCL are keeping in trend here as I think there have been a revival of this era.

Add to this the massive show , Priscilla Queen of the Desert , if that’s not your choice , there are still all the various bars and the nightclubs if your taste is not quite up to the Beatles.

With over 4,000 passengers to please there has to be plenty of variety, this for me is one of the bonus points on the bigger ships, if you want the entertainment (or choice of it) I would always recommend you choose the bigger ships in any fleet, the smaller ships will still have plenty to offer but maybe it is nicer to have a choice , after all variety is said to be the spice of life !!
