More on MSC Fantasia

We had balcony 10105 deck 10 on our recent trip, as you can see the balconies are not massive, enough for two chairs and a small table, not a sunbathing spot even if you had the weather !! We were very lucky for December, there was no rain to speak of and in the early twenties as far as Israel, considering we stated in Genoa, Italy, I thought this was pretty good, more than we expected. And of course I had packed lots of warm stuff which never got used !!

A few pictures of the cabin , again immaculate

Here is a laugh for you, we decided to get off in Athens and go to the Acropolis, it was a beautiful day, so off we went, and guess what , they were on strike …. at least we got out and about

again this is no fault of MSC, although we did hear a few complaints, how could they know this, and even if they did they would have to change the whole itinerary to suit this situation , clearly not !

We carried on to Crete , Gala dinner was Christmas eve, very nicely done with a special pudding, all expecting Christmas pudding, no , Tiramisu , well we were on an Italian ship. Nothing really special for Christmas day , the children all got to meet Santa and received a gift. We again were not worried as we had picked this cruise to be away from all the commercial side of it, suited us well.

The port of Hafia, nice little port , you can get to Nazareth from here , did not fancy the three hour coach journey, which luckily we did not do as it ended up being closer to five each way, we were supposed to sail @ 7pm that night and had to wait for the excursion coaches which eventually made it 9pm !! We had a lovely walk around the port and stopped for coffee. The one port where you do need your passport.
