Harmony of the seas………………coming May 2016

This year sees two of the big boys from Royal Caribbean making a show in Southampton , only for a short while before moving on.

The Harmony of the Seas arriving 20 May into Southampton is the newest addition to the Oasis Class Class in Royal Caribbean fleet , The Royal Caribbean ships are split into “classes” Harmony is an Oasis class which means she will be the biggest on the water, at least for a while, coming in @ 227000 tons and holding 6300 passengers @ full capacity.

I could post loads of pictures during the construction , and it is fascinating to watch the progress, but to think the end product is going to look like this is amazing !!

One thing I think RCI does very well is the entertainment , Grease is the live show, be warned be sure to book your seats in the theatre as this is going to be very popular. Columbus is a new addition, is along the lines of Spamalot , a very good show so I am informed !! Then there is the aqua theatre on the aft of the ship, some fantastic performances promised here too !

She will be based in Barcelona for this summer. a great port to get in/out of as many regional flights available at decent prices if you book early enough, you can add on a few nights before if you feel a week is just not quite enough .

Sailings are selling out fast , family cabins now are in very short supply , so if you want to see her before she leaves again in October for the Caribbean, get booked now. How many times I get asked , will the prices drop ? The answer is I really do not know, my gut feeling is a resounding NO apart from which the cruise may drop, but the flights become impossible to find , or they are just too expensive and indirect.

Happy sailing if you are already lucky enough to be booked !!
