A Mini Majesty of the Seas

I came across something today and it’s pretty amazing so I’m sharing it with you.

As you probably know, Majesty of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbeans smaller ships.

Francois Zanella has taken his love of cruising to a whole new level and built a 1/8 scale replica of the ship!  Two years after the launch of the original ship in 1992 he started building the replica at a yard in France (where the original Majesty was also built) across from his house.  Eleven years later, his project was complete.  The model was then transported to Sarreguemines to be launched and christened.

Not only is it a scale replica but it’s a fully functioning canal boat able to sail in most of the European canals!  The height is even adjustable and is 33.5m long and 4.75m wide.

Being a mine worker originally, Francois is now enjoying his retirement aboard his creation.

How far has your obsession with cruising taken you? Can you top this or seen anything that can? Let me know.
