It’s not just a Drink on us but All Inclusive

So it’s all about the All Inclusive at the moment. I have to say this latest offer from Royal Caribbean has definitely been a big success in the opening few days since this promotion was launched. The All Inclusive advertised just sounds better than when in the past they have offered a Free Beverage Package.

Though pretty much the same thing. Goes to show to power of advertising and choosing yours carefully works. Not like the recent promotion from P&O which led customers to believe it was All Inclusive but in fact the Drinks on us promotion was just them giving a little extra on board credit to buy a drink on them. That really was an awful promotion from P&O and I wonder if Royal Caribbean has picked up on that and are giving customers exactly what it says on the tin and what P&O failed to do but gave you the impression of something very different. Who knows?!

I have been on All Inclusive holidays before and perhaps in a beach resort it’s a good idea but I am still not convinced that it’s the way to go on a ship. Yes some of the smaller luxury ships like say Azamara it works. Guests are well looked after and it’s nice but I think on a large ship like some of these massive ocean liners I’m not sure I’d like to see everyone scrambling to the bar to get a free drink.

What do you think? That said the promotion has kicked off well and many people are booking these cruises so well done to Royal Caribbean I think they have got their promotion just right. A lot better than the Drinks on us recently from P&O. I wonder if they will have a rethink too about being All Inclusive if Royal Caribbean sell out their cabins and P&O still have a lot empty. We shall see.
