Cruising home or away?

Often when booking Cruises I’m told it’s because of the itinerary. I then wonder if we all want to visit the most popular places and landmarks that everyone seems to know. Growing up School and doing Geography you learn of these famous landmarks and think to yourself yes I’d like to go see that one day. Cruising certainly helps having some many ports of calls and the freedom to go ashore, tick off the landmark and ready to move on to the next one. What I have noticed probably over the last couple of years is the growing interest in the British Isles for Cruises. And not just from our overseas guest but our own residents.

I like to think of myself as quite well travelled and I have my wish list of places to see and seen many. I had to look at what we have to offer at home. I was quite surprised that so many on my door step that I haven’t actually seen.

Amazing to think I have been to and seen so many overseas and at home I don’t feel like I’ve scratched the surface. Looking at these landmarks at home O can see why the British Isles is attracting I think more and more people and just for those who don’t want to fly and travel too far but actually those who want to see the Landmarks we have.

What do you think? Have you been to all these places on home soil, would you consider Cruising the British isles?
