Welcome aboard and wine down!!!!!

wine

Due to the increased amount of unruly passengers on board aircraft’s and other problems alcohol causes on flights in general, the government has recently announced that they are going to be shaking things up at UK airports with regards to alcohol being served before boarding flights.

I have to agree with this action being made and hope they do start to restrict the amount of alcohol passengers can have before they take off and whilst in the air.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve been on many holidays and often met the girls in departures for a cheeky glass of vino before boarding, and had the odd glass of wine whilst up in the clouds, however, again it is the increasing percentage of travels that again are spoiling it for everybody else.

In fact I can remember boarding a flight to Australia with a friend 10 years ago where he managed to drink his was through the free aircraft bar, there were miniatures rolling all over the cabin and he eventually passed out for the last 6 hours of the flight. The only problem was it was me trying to wake him up and get him off the aircraft when we landed. Not ideal.

When I worked for Falcon Holidays in Lanzarote years ago, it was a standing joke that we almost never had a flight where a passenger didn’t get refused boarding or was just too out of it to make it to the check-in with their illegal amount of duty free cigarettes stashed in their suitcase. Those were the fun days.

With the safety required on board aircraft’s today, the cabin crew need all the help they can get, not drunken passenger brawling in the isles having domestics and ruining the start of everybody else’s holiday.

As far as I’m concerned these changes cannot come soon enough, bring it on………….

What do you think???????
