Do you miss the personal face to face dealings with a travel agent ?

I know that although many people book with me, there are still some people book with a local travel agent as they like to be able to have that face to face personal contact.

Well we have an answer for that as well.  I recently made my first booking my using Skype video chat, rather than via the telephone as I would usually.

Skype is used on a computer, tablet or phone via an internet connection and allows free video calls.

It was very useful to have this facility the other day as my client was away staying in a Spanish villa and didn’t have a phone they could use but they did have access to a computer with Skype.

It was really nice to have made the booking this way with my client as we have dealt with each other for a while now and it was good to be able to have the face to face contact.

Of course this way of contact won’t be for everyone but it is good that we can use this as an alternative to a phone call, especially for clients overseas.
