Celebrity Cruises allowing people to enrol to their Captains Club before they have sailed with them
It wasn’t too long ago that I did a blog on MSC Cruises allowing people to enrol to their past passenger club without having sailed with them.
Well now Celebrity Cruises have also taken on this idea and are allowing people to enrol to the Captains Club without having booked or sailed with Celebrity Cruises previously.
People will be able to enrol as “Preview Tier” members. Celebrity says that as a Preview member your benefits will be access to the Captains Club Loyalty desk, which means you can phone them with membership queries, a Captains Club news letter with the latest news and promotions and eligibility for Captains Club benefits for booking on board.
Are Celebrity Cruises really giving anything away here ? As far as I can see Celebrity cruises have done this as they must feel it is a no lose situation for them. Basically they will be approached by people that are interested in their cruises, take all their contact and personal data and in return they will send you promotional information and letters trying to sell you their product.
