 Let’s start with some fun trivia to welcome in the new month.

Did you know……. that the only film with October in its title to win an Oscar is “The Hunt For Red October”?

Or, that the month of October is not mentioned at all in any of William Shakespeare’s plays?

Or, that Bounty mutineer Fletcher Christian named his first son Thursday October Christian, because he was born on a Thursday in October 1790?

Or, according to a recent study in Italy, October is the best month for conceiving a boy baby?

October to me means two things, colder weather and countdown to Christmas. Both of these, I prefer to miss and the best way to do this is to get away.

There are plenty of cruise bargains in the next few months and something for everyone from Canary Islands to the Caribbean for those of us craving the sun or the European Cities for culture and sightseeing. How about the beautiful Christmas markets?

Whilst many holiday resorts are closing for winter, the cruise liners will just carry on throughout all seasons.
