Next Saturday I will be having a naughty birthday, a birthday with a nought at the end of the number.
10 years ago, of course, I had another and to celebrate this one we booked our first family cruise.
We then told our two young children about the exciting prospect of a fortnight in the fabulous Caribbean on board a brand new cruise liner and were dismayed at their reaction. Instead of the whoops of joy and promises to be good for the imminent future, they actually were rather worried and my daughter close to tears.
My husband and I had cruised on our honeymoon and so knew what to expect……………
My children had other ideas……………
Fortunately, shortly afterwards we received an invite to visit the ship in Southampton. This visit changed everything and the hardest part then was getting them off after a delicious lunch and having to wait several months until our holiday.
Cruising is a very different holiday experience. You cannot begin to imagine life on board until you have this experience.
Having now cruised many times, it is easy to forget that it is still an undiscovered pleasure for so many so let me help to find the perfect experience for you.
