A week at Disney Orlando

I have just returned from a week in Orlando with my Daughter and her friend. I am exhausted to say the least. We stayed at a Disney hotel to enable us to get around using their transport which was so easy. We experienced all the different methods bus, monorail and boats which run  all day and night (I did not want to drive).  It is very hot and humid in Orlando at this time of year but they seemed to have no effect on them they wanted to do the parks every day. The new Fantasy Land is now open with lots to offer for the little ones and me as I cannot do those big roller coasters but was fun watching them. The Little Mermaid, Snow White Mine Train and Belle’s Magical Castle were all now up and running with long lines of little girls desperate to meet their Disney Princess. 200 minute wait for the Frozen Princesses.  The firework  spectacular each evening was magical as Disney spend over £60,000 each evening in each park to put on this show and are different in each one.

The new Harry Potter section at Universal was so realistic and every now and then a performance was put on by the cast of the film (not the real ones though). Now the coasters in this park were twice the size and twice as scary.   There is so much to see and do both in and out of the theme parks. The shopping was amazing. What would have made my holiday perfect was a cruise from Port Canaveral, Tampa or Miami which can be reached within a couple of hours but time did not allow us. Disney Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean and Carnival are just a few of the cruise lines that offer sailings from theses ports from 3 to 14 nights. snow white
