Do you like to Dance.

Gone are the days of the old fashioned Ballroom Dancing. But thanks to television covering so many different kinds of dancing shows the interest is coming back and attracting a wide age group. Years ago on board the magnificent cruise ships the ballroom was the place to be and to be seen. So if you are interested in dancing I am happy to give you a few ideas of what lines have the best choices available for you.

Cunard have always been know for its dancing so it is no surprise that they have won awards for the best ballroom at sea. They have a special fully sprung dance floor in elegant surroundings. They hold several themed evenings from masked balls to an Elizabethan themed party nights. And passengers do go to town and par take in these events.

P & O have Strictly Come Dancing Cruises which are proving very popular and are always a sell out. These cruises feature some of the professional dancers and judges from the television show. They offer shows and classes and you could even get to dance with a cast member you have been admiring on a recent show.

Costa cruises have the largest open air dance evenings on some of their ships along with some of the biggest ballrooms at sea. The multicultural passengers all take to the floor and do their own thing and create an amazing atmosphere.

Holland America have also homed in on the American version of Strictly, Dancing with the Stars. My teen idol and I must admit I still love him now Donny Osmond actually won one of the past series . Wow you should have seen his Argentine Tango But I must not harp on about Donny or I will not stop. (Marie his sister also took part but did not do as well as Donny). On board you can enjoy dance classes and compete to become the cruise champion. Then the winner is sent to the grand finale and you get to travel on the champions cruise free of charge. Which to me is the best prize of all even if Donny is not on board.

So as you can see plenty of choice out there. Get your dancing shoes on and boogie.
