Run Forest Run

woman-distraught

Some of you might have seen the latest news story about the passenger who missed her ship because she was late for boarding, Oh dear how unfortunate, sorry but I have no sympathy for her, yes her children were still on board with other family members, and yes it would of cost her the rest of the cruise, but why did she think she could turn up when she likes and expect the ship to still be there. When you disembark a ship in each port there are signs everywhere explaining when you have to be back on board, they are not put there for a laugh they are there for a reason, and that reason is to make sure you are not late and miss the ship. Some people are saying the ship should have waited longer for her to arrive, well that my friends is ludicrous, does a plane wait for you at the airport if you are late, or has a train ever waited for you to board before leaving the platform? NO so what makes a cruise ship any different. It annoys me that cruise lines get a bad rep all the time whether it is for something like this or the dreaded norwalk virus. So remember when you are next on a cruise, I would recommend checking what time you need to be back on board, because if you decide not to bother returning on time, accept the consequences. You will not be getting any sympathy from me whatsoever.

Harsh yes, but remember a cruise ship gets charged a hefty levy if they are docked any later than their booked sailing time. might be a good idea to charge this to the poor young lady’s ship board account, I’m very sure she would be on time on her next cruise.
