Bare Essentials !!!!
I received an enquiry the other day from a customer asking me if we did nudist cruise’s and to be honest we don’t ourselves but it really did have me intrigued to find out which cruise liners did.
So after having a good nosy about through the websites to my surprise I found out that Bare Necessities will charter the Carnival “Freedom”. They are holding a nude cruise which sets sail on the 9th February 2013, leaving from Ft. Lauderdale and cruising the Panama Canal for 8 nights.
The cruise will offer the usual amenities such as multiple pools, a dance club, and various other attractions, from zany costume balls, Las Vegas style shows, fun theme nights and the luxury of deciding what NOT to wear, BUT one thing that will be totally different on this voyage is that it will be a nude cruise, an eight-day clothing free adventure !!
The Freedom holds three thousand passengers and would you believe that 70% capacity is already booked. Carnival Freedom will play host to a growing craze in tourism, the nude vacation; a $440 million dollar industry according to the American Association for Nude Recreation.
The cruise is being organized by Bare Necessities, a nude tourism company owned by Nancy Tiemann. “I think when we vacation, we would rather travel with like-minded people, whether nudists or jazz music lovers. It’s not just about getting on a cruise ship and taking your clothes off,” Tiemann told Reuters.
Cruises and nudist resorts do have very strict code of conduct. Sexual activity is barred at resorts that fall under the American Association for Nude Recreation’s banner, and sexualized clothing or accessories are not considered appropriate.
Just think no hassle of getting dressed up every day/night – just wear your bare essentials !!
