Work has got me all in a spin.

April is one of the busiest months for me as a specialist cruise consultant with P&O and Cunard releasing their 2017/2018 cruise itineraries and prices. There are some excellent deals to be had and by booking at ‘launch’ you are ensured the best cabins.

Over a 9 day period the various cruises are placed on sale at 8 am each day and it is all hands on deck to get the cruises booked. I’m pleased to say I have always managed to book my customers’ first choice cabins for them.

This year, this stressful and busy period coincided with the school holidays too, so by the end of the week I was all a bit frazzled from being at my desk early each day, entertaining my son and tackling homework too. I was in need of some great rest and relaxation.

What did I choose to do I hear you ask? Did I enjoy a relaxing spa weekend? Did I walk by the beach and feel the fresh sea air on my cheeks? No, this is how I chose to unwind.

What started as a catch up with friends over Prosecco on Saturday, ended up with a crazy trampoline session on Sunday.

It was fantastic fun. It is many, many years since I was last on a proper trampoline and I was pleased that I still know how to bounce. Trampolining is  an excellent form of exercise  and is said to burn up to 400 calories per hour, so was the perfect balance the previous night’s excesses too.

Now I’m back at work and still invigorated from the exercise and hype of next year’s cruises, although I must admit I am still aching a few days later.
