Look Who’s Entering the River Cruise Market

I am really excited to read that Crystal Cruises have decided to enter the river cruise market with 2 river yachts in March 2017.

Different to existing river cruise ships Crystal’s vessels will have a sleek yacht design  and offer a fresh approach to river cruising with state of the art amenities and the Crystal 6* service and experience throughout.

With just 70 staterooms on  board the space to guest ratio is set to be larger than any existing river ship and the suites will come in at 250 square feet. They will be fully equipped with walk-in wardrobes, American king size beds and bathrooms with double vanities. There will also be two 500 square foot Penthouse Suites.

The public areas will also be spacious and airy and a glass domed roof will add to the contemporary feel on board. There will also be a dance floor and well appointed fitness center and spa.

Crystal have not announced the itineraries and ports as yet but they will cover the most picturesque rivers in Europe and are promising many over night stays with inclusive excursions including Michelin starred restaurants. During the day a choice Crystal Adventures will be available allowing guests to choose which areas they would like to explore and they will also be offering their new Active Exploration Adventures. These allow guests to explore independently using the many bicycles (electric or manual), segways and other active gear available.

A luxury yacht tender will also be available  for guests who wish to charter it for a private yatching experience.
